my perfectly imperfect handbuilt earthenware pottery

Things I’ve made, and things I’m still learning from. My work is handbuilt in faience (earthenware) for now. Some pieces began as ready-made templates, then took a few detours after testing, tweaking and questioning their usefulness (according to me, obviously). Most didn’t turn out quite like the tutorials — clay and glaze had opinions (troublemakers, ha!). I enjoy making cups, mugs, lidded pots for spices, rice, pasta, jewellery (you name it): lean shapes with a practical purpose, and just enough je-ne-sais-quoi attitude to keep things sexy.

the pieces are on their way to meet you

I’m still photographing my work (prettily enough, I hope). They’ll be here soon.

In the meantime, feel free to peek at the journal. It’s still taking shape too — I’m (very) slowly filling it with handwritten notes. Now I just need to digitalise them… which takes time, ha!
